Hot Rock Massage-

Heated stones are first used in strategically placed areas on and under your body. The therapist uses traditional strokes of Swedish massage while holding a heated stone. When the stone loses its heat it is replaced by another one. Cold stones may also be used for certain areas. Deep tissue massage can also be done with rocks. The heat of the stones helps to relax and penetrate the muscles. Since the stones are wider than fingers they cover more area giving you four times the massage.

Deep Tissue Massage-

Sometimes called a sports massage it is a therapeutic massage technique to release tension in muscles using slow strokes and deep finger pressure on contracted areas, either flowing or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue releasing toxins and getting blood and oxygen circulating. This type of massage can also help to break up an eliminate scar tissue. Tell your therapist where your have tension so they know where to focus. Your worked areas may have some soreness but will feel better than ever in a day or two.
